If you’re into both Westerns and comic books, you know all about that mean old rattlesnake Jonah Hex, his extreme brand of justice and that horrifically scarred mouth of his. The guy’s ornerier than Dirty Harry and the Man with No Name combined, and he’s been tracking down the dirtiest of rascals in comics since the 1970s. Josh Brolin (pictured at left) is putting on the hat and the overcoat of the Wild West antihero for the new action flick Jonah Hex, in theaters June 18 and co-starring Megan Fox and John Malkovich. If you want to do your homework beforehand, though, DC Comics and Warner Premiere have teamed to bring fans Jonah Hex Motion Comics. Available on iTunes, Xbox Live, Amazon, Zune Marketplace and the PlayStation Network for 99 cents an episode (or $5.99 for a season pass), the series animates the classic Two Gun Mojo storyline from 1993, plus two stories from the ’70s, The Hangin’ Woman and The Gunfighter. Check out an exclusive clip below from Two Gun Mojo, as Jonah Hex first sees the maniacal showman, Doc “Cross” Williams. And if you’re looking for more Hex before the movie hits, read Guns of Vengeance or one of the other collected trade paperbacks from Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray‘s 2005 relaunch of the Jonah Hex title.
