We always like to give you first looks at some neat things coming down the pike, and this is definitely one of them. Debuting here exclusively is the new poster for the indie thriller Kalamity, distributed by Original 4 Releasing and 
starring Nick Stahl (Carnivale, Terminator 3), Beau Garrett (TRON: Legacy), Jonathan Jackson (General Hospital) and the veteran actor Robert Forster. The poster is very Hitchcockian in style, and it’s fitting for the cinematic subject matter. Director James M. Hausler sets his tale in Northern Virginia, where he was born and raised, and it’s where Billy (Stahl) returns home after an emotional breakup with his ex, Alice (Garrett). Yet he finds an even worse situation on the homefront when he learns his best friend Stanley (Jackson) has become estranged from his buds and seemingly has female trouble of his own, and Billy gets sucked into a mystery to figure out what is happening to his pal. The movie opens in New York and Los Angeles on Oct. 22, and expands to more markets soon after. Also, check out the Kalamity website for more info and video from the movie.

“Hitchcockian” isn’t the best way to describe the poster since Saul Bass designed many of the posters for Hitchcock of which this is reminiscent. More accurate to say the poster is “Bass-ian” I suppose.
