Perhaps he took his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies too seriously, but Depp does own a 45-acre island in the Bahamas, Little Hall’s Pond Cay. Reportedly purchased for a cool $3.6 million, the island has a part of it dedicated to the late actor Heath Ledger, as well as beaches named for his partner, Vanessa Paradis, his daughter, Lily Rose, his son, Jack, and two other departed friends, Marlon Brando and Hunter S. Thompson.
